3D Game Level 1 v2 Feedback

3D Game Level 1 v2 Feedback  How did the changes in your level help with this version? In this level, I have added colors to help implement the theme Sci-Fi/Jungle, added a couple trees with acid jump, also changed the invisible wall into camouflaged breakable blocks and a bigger house with a pressure plate to activate the moving platform. But other than that, I think some of the changes were needed to make the game level more easier to play through than the first version. What mechanics did you implement in your level and why? The mechanics that I implemented in my level were still the same as the first version, it was just that the differences were a house with a pressure plate and a smaller acid jump platform. Did you add any new mechanics to your level? In this version of the game level, I have not added new mechanics to this level since I was fixing other mechanics that had problems or were poorly designed. What went right? Things that went r...

3D Game Level 1 Feedback What mechanics did you implement in your level and why? In my level, I implemented a little maze in the beginning of the level because I was going towards the jungle theme and thought that the players would enjoy running through a little maze as a way to make players know that there are things in the maze that help them progress in the level. For example, in the maze, I implemented a switch that opens a door so that the player can escape the maze. Another thing that I have implemented in the level is a fake wall that players can walk through in order to activate a pressure plate for a moving platform that takes them into the next part of the level. I used breakable blocks to...

2D MegaMan Lvl 2 Feedback What weapons did you add to your level and why? For my level, I have added all the weapons listed on the project. The reason why I added all of them was to make players understand how the weapons work and how they can use them to their advantage when playing the level. How did adding weapons affect your level? Adding the weapons has made me think more about the level because with the addition of different weapons, it makes me change up the level and the enemies along with it. For example, the O. Slider weapons can be used as a board to slide through the water and because of that, the O. Sliders can be used in many ways. What went right? Things that went right was the way w...

2D Mega Man Level v2 Feedback How did adding keys/doors affect your level? By adding the keys and doors, it made players look around the level more to find the keys to the doors. Which can make the players engage the level more than just fighting enemies and jumping platforms. What went right? On the first part of the level, I have added jumping platforms so that the players will have to jump in order to make it to the level, but with better transitioning, since my last level’s problem was the slow transitioning that could potentially mess up the player’s timing when they are jumping. I have also implemented a checkpoint, another problem with my previous level. For this other part of...

2D Mega Man Level V1 Feedback Players My players in this 2D Mega Man Level V1 were Daniel Lee, Weilin Tang, Emanuel Ventura, and Leland Levassar and thanks to them, I was able to obtain a lot of feedback on what I can do to improve the game level and design. What went right? Things that went right in my level was that it was not too hard nor easy for the players. What went wrong? To be honest, there were many things that went wrong. One part that went wrong was the slow transitions when entering into the next part of the level. Down below is one part of the level that my players seem to dislike due to the fact that it requires good timing for jumps and the slow transition kind of messes them ...

Simple DnD Map V3 Feedback Who played your map (Player names and their chosen class)? My playtesters for this third version of my DnD are Weilin Tang and Daniel Lee. The classes that Weilin chose were the warrior and Daniel was the rogue. What went right? Things that went right were the paths that the players were supposed to go and the limited items given to them. Another thing that went well was the checkpoints that the players had accessed. What went wrong? Things that went wrong were the stats of the enemies. The reason being is that my playtesters were not able to damage the enemies introduced into the level while they themselves were taking more damage from the enemies. Even with the items and stat changes...
