2D MegaMan Lvl 2 Feedback What weapons did you add to your level and why? For my level, I have added all the weapons listed on the project. The reason why I added all of them was to make players understand how the weapons work and how they can use them to their advantage when playing the level. How did adding weapons affect your level? Adding the weapons has made me think more about the level because with the addition of different weapons, it makes me change up the level and the enemies along with it. For example, the O. Slider weapons can be used as a board to slide through the water and because of that, the O. Sliders can be used in many ways. What went right? Things that went right was the way w...

2D Mega Man Level v2 Feedback How did adding keys/doors affect your level? By adding the keys and doors, it made players look around the level more to find the keys to the doors. Which can make the players engage the level more than just fighting enemies and jumping platforms. What went right? On the first part of the level, I have added jumping platforms so that the players will have to jump in order to make it to the level, but with better transitioning, since my last level’s problem was the slow transitioning that could potentially mess up the player’s timing when they are jumping. I have also implemented a checkpoint, another problem with my previous level. For this other part of...

2D Mega Man Level V1 Feedback Players My players in this 2D Mega Man Level V1 were Daniel Lee, Weilin Tang, Emanuel Ventura, and Leland Levassar and thanks to them, I was able to obtain a lot of feedback on what I can do to improve the game level and design. What went right? Things that went right in my level was that it was not too hard nor easy for the players. What went wrong? To be honest, there were many things that went wrong. One part that went wrong was the slow transitions when entering into the next part of the level. Down below is one part of the level that my players seem to dislike due to the fact that it requires good timing for jumps and the slow transition kind of messes them ...

Simple DnD V3 Feedback

Simple DnD Map V3 Feedback Who played your map (Player names and their chosen class)? My playtesters for this third version of my DnD are Weilin Tang and Daniel Lee. The classes that Weilin chose were the warrior and Daniel was the rogue. What went right? Things that went right were the paths that the players were supposed to go and the limited items given to them. Another thing that went well was the checkpoints that the players had accessed. What went wrong? Things that went wrong were the stats of the enemies. The reason being is that my playtesters were not able to damage the enemies introduced into the level while they themselves were taking more damage from the enemies. Even with the items and stat changes...

Simple DnD Feedback V.2

Simple DnD Feedback V.2 For my second playtest, we were given the same playtesters as last time, which were Daniel Lee and Weillin Tang. Since this was the second time they were using Roll20, they were much more experienced, so the playtest was much smoother than the first time. But other than that, I felt the progress on this second version on DnD was much better for a couple reasons. For one, I was able to darken the map, as compared to the first version, I felt like a darker color gives the player a better experience, since their adventure starts in a cave. Another reason is that adding doors to this level made my playtesters move around the map to experience more of my map and it was fun to see what my playtesters will witness and experience when exploring my map. My third reason would be the progression of the game because in my first game, it took my playtesters a while to progress but with the new additions on the second version of my DnD, somehow, my playtesters were ...

Simple DnD Map Feedback V.1

Simple DnD Feedback V.1       9/12/23 For my first playtest on DnD, Daniel Lee and Weillin Tang were my playtesters for this Simple DnD Assignment. At the beginning of the class, we were given time to share our games and during that time, I was also helping and leading them on how Roll20 works, such as being the Game Master and adding fogs to add effects to the gameplay. So because of this, my playtesters and I have all agreed on my game being the first to play since I have already experienced being the Game Master before. When we started out with my board game, everything was going good because I was able to lead my playtesters to areas where they were supposed to go, a little storytelling, and my enemies were not too hard to defeat. Although there were some good things about my DnD, I felt like I could have implemented more into my map. The reason being is that when I playtested in my groupmates board games, I can...

2D Mega Man Lvl 2 Feedback      4/5/22 For this level, my class and I were given more items and varieties of weapons to give to the players so that they have a different experience from the other two previous levels that we worked on. Which is a nice change because it allows us level designers to add more challenges and make the player think strategically with the weapons they have. The theme for this level is forest/jungle, which makes the level feel different than the level from before, which was a western theme. What also makes this level interesting is the part where we were allowed to add more weapons so the players can use them to their advantage when fighting enemies or when moving around the level. After knowing the items and weapons that...
